CREE joins the PCLG

CREE is now a member of the Poverty and Conservation Learning Group (PCLG). The Poverty and Conservation Learning Group (PCLG) is a forum for promoting dialogue and fostering learning between key stakeholders from a range of backgrounds on the links between biodiversity conservation and poverty reduction.
CREE's involvement in the PCLG will entail sharing with them our project outcomes and lessons learned, informing international and regional policy processes related to poverty-environment linkages, promoting dialogue between and within different communities of interest relevant to CREE's focal countries, and disseminating information to the wider group. CREE endorses the Earth Charter

Today CREE affirmed its institutional commitment to the Earth Charter's declaration of the fundamental principles for building a just, sustainable, and peaceful global society for the 21st century. In particular, CREE commends its goal to eradicate poverty as an ethical, social, and environmental imperative. Please see http://www.earthcharter.org for more information.
